I had created a gold foil card for the National Museum of Ireland of the Tara Brooch. The head of the shop section of the museum said my work would be good for colouring and from that conversation we agreed that a series of images would be created.
I was sent highly detailed close up resolution photos of the chosen treasures and I drew them reproducing the fine detail as closely as possible.
